Role Summary

The Free People copy team is looking for support in meeting their daily quota, re: crafting onsite product copy, primarily for FP Movement, but also for Free People if/as needed. With that, there is opportunity to absorb and practice more substantial writing opportunities as warranted, should this writer exhibit a great inherent understanding of who we are and what we do. Our copy team is small yet mighty -- we pride ourselves on balancing both independent work and collaboration to produce captivating, informative narratives in support of the brand.

Role Responsibilities

  • Write descriptive, concise, compelling, and error-free copy; and edit according to FP style practices
  • Coordinate efforts of multiple teams (buying, merchandising, photo studio, etc.) to ensure copy is provided in a timely manner and prioritized based on marketing efforts and go-live dates
  • Fact-check product specifications to ensure 100% accuracy
  • Collaborate with copy team to optimize PDP’s and streamline product copy process

Role Qualifications

  • Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, and/or relevant experience
  • Proficiency in writing/editing capabilities
  • Passion for identifying and fine-tuning stories as they apply across platforms
  • Background in activewear/fashion space preferred
  • Remote position available, with opportunity for hybrid (in-office 1x2 days/week) if accessible to Philadelphia

The wage range for this role is $24.00-$25.00 per hour. Wages are based on several factors, including, but not limited to, experience, education, geographic location, etc.
