Role Summary

Anthropologie Living is looking for a Sr. PD and Sourcing Coordinator to work with the direction of the Executive Director and Category Director in conjunction with furniture merchants and design partners to collaborate in the monitoring and execution of Product Development in an Upholstery category environment.  

 

Drive innovation, efficiency in Product Development, strategize and develop long term strategies to deliver department goals and initiatives. Deliver aesthetically pleasing samples that meet the brand’s vision while supporting the brand’s needs and business requirements. Position requires a high level of time management and tactical skills, multi-tasking abilities, maintaining agility to shift responsibilities and focus on moment’s notice. Effective cross functional and senior communication, file creation and reporting are to be anticipated. 

Role Responsibilities

Full responsible for all facets of the product development process  

  • Brief Submission and development monitoring w. vendor partners monitoring 

  • testing adherence guidelines – frame and cushion constructions & textile development 

  • R&D on seasonal vision(s) w. vendor base 

Financial  

  • SKU IMU parameter management – FOB & ELC  

  • Cost negotiations and resourcing on legacy styles  

  • Decreasing sampling costs and proposing creative solutions for solutions to physical samples to arrive in house  

  • Sample management – Logistics coordination & vendor liaising.  

  • Customs declarations  

  • MSDS Library building, populating, and keeping up to date.  

  • Developing and expanding QA/QC standards.  

  • Understanding of packaging methods  

  • Holistic Purchase Order Hand Off management w. The postproduction teams 

  • Product Information sheet coordination  

  • In country trip agenda and summary preparations  

Vendor Management  

  • Holistic vendor management w. a full knowledge of their capabilities, abilities and capacities while being able to identify growth opportunities within the upholstery class 

  • Mill strategy Management - defining long term vision; new materials, substitutions, reallocations of covers, discontinuing, etc.  

  • Quarterly calls w. all vendors for business updates  

  • Weekly reporting and updates for all WIP management.  

  • Liability minimization w. our MTO partners.  

Operating System Responsibility (Bamboo Rose & CLIQ) 

  • Creation of Purchase Order and Non-Merchandising Purchase Orders for WIP sampling 

  • Population of all pertinent fields when creating style pages along w. internal QLIK reporting tool operation.  

Day to Day Management  

  • Owning biweekly calls both in person & via ZOOM w. cross functional teams.  

  • Owning the relationship w. storage warehouse on sample management direction  

  • Development tracker population  

  • Strict adherence of line plans and addressing deviations before accepting new developments from cross functional teams.  

  • Visual Line List management  

  • Define a GBB strategy in partnership w. Buying Merchants  

 

Role Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Upholstery or Case goods product development required. 

  • Knowledge of furniture construction and manufacturing experience preferred. 

  • Understanding of raw materials; woods, metals, textile, and finishes required.  

  • Knowledge of product packaging and product testing.  

  • Logistics, supply chain management experience.  

  • Effective communication w. internal and external teams and ability to work w. large teams. 

  • Proactive and ownership mentality of your responsibilities in your given class
