Role Summary

Nuuly is looking for a Senior Inventory Planner who will maximize rent and resale revenue by creating and executing strategies to manage and sell off obsolete or slow-moving inventory. Support overall inventory performance through demand-driven fulfillment planning, stock rebalancing and reverse logistics across distribution centers. Act as a trusted leader with strong predictive forecasting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Decision-Making: Develop and maintain demand forecasts to predict inventory needs, ensuring optimal stock levels for both rent and resale channels. Proficient in using reporting tools to analyze inventory trends, make strategic decisions, and communicate actionable insights.
  • Business Execution and Problem Solving: Owns and executes business recommendations, solves organizational problems, and makes informed decisions based on analysis and experience
  • Process and Ownership: Tracks key metrics, designs and maintains pricing models, and applies data-driven insights to enhance strategies and support business objectives
  • Collaboration and Influence: Builds strong relationships with planning, merchandising and distribution center teams, partners with senior management, and positively influences team dynamics and processes through clear communication
  • Leadership and Team Management: Manage at least one direct report, set clear priorities, coach team members, and support career development

Role Qualifications

  • 5+ years of combined experience in Merchandise Planning, Allocation, or Store Planning within a retail environment, including Open-to-Buy (OTB) management, financial forecasting, and inventory optimization.
  • Experience in start-up environment a plus
  • Strong financial and analytical skills

  • Problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before they happen and handle them appropriately when they do
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills including managing at least 1 direct report
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong data warehouse skills (EDW, Looker, Island Pacific, BigQuery)
