The Sales Audit Analyst is responsible for daily auditing of store transactions for all brands. Also
responsible for the verification of electronic payment types: Cash, credit cards, gift cards, merchandise credits, etc. Responsible for succinct communication with stores and all related internal departments to help maintain a high level of customer care. The main goal of the analyst is to correctly complete all daily tasks in order for the monthly sales journal to be closed and posted and bank reconciliation completed by book cut off timeframe.
- Responsible for the analysis of financial transactions; especially receipt and overages/shortages
as reported by retail stores, including trending, corrections, and reporting to field and internal
management
- Complete daily cash reconciliation from the cash sweep and credit card settlement process, and
ensure all entries are accounted for and added to the monthly reconciliation process.
- Works with Sales Audit Supervisor to ensure daily reviews are completed accurately and timely
- Partners with the Brand Operations and Loss Prevention groups to ensure store procedures are
clear and up to date relative to transactions, special receipts, and overages/shortages
- Administers the store audit process by working with Brand Operations and other internal
departments to ensure compliance expectations and consequences are established and met
- Recommends new reporting to accommodate changes in the business environment and/or
requests from internal or external departments. Performs other ad hoc reporting as requested.
- Assists and provides support to Sales Audit Supervisor and team in any major initiatives
impacting Sales Audit. Supports the monthly calendar sales close process and assists by
completing duties in a timely manner.
- Prior retail experience equivalent to 3-4 years
- Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge including Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze data in an organized and clear fashion
- Multi-Currency experience a plus
- Accurate bookkeeping skills
- Capable of navigating through financial systems, Recon Net Reconciliation system a plus
- Able to work with high degree of accuracy, integrity, and accountability
- Excellent and efficient written and verbal communication skills with upper management and
external customers
- Skillful at identifying and reporting potential issues and/or opportunities
- Solid organizational skills
- Proven problem-solving skills

- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced, ever changing retail environment
