Role Summary

Anthropologie is looking for Home Buying Interns to join us for the summer. This internship will support the Home Buying team across the product lifecycle, gaining hands-on experience in how we build compelling, differentiated assortments. They will partner with Buying teams, Design, Planning, Product Development and other cross-functional teams to help bring seasonal product strategies to life across our Home categories.

 

Please note: At this time, URBN’s Buying Internships are open to rising seniors (current undergraduate juniors) only. If you are currently a junior pursuing your undergraduate degree, we encourage you to apply!

The URBN 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/7 through 8/13 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.

 

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

 

1) Apply to one (1) internship posting that best aligns with your interests and skills. If there is a project component included in the application (see role qualifications below), it is required and must be submitted at the time of application to be considered for the position.

 

2) Complete a Video Interview: Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email with a link to complete a video interview. Once the email is received, candidates will have two (2) days to complete this portion of the application.

 

3) Interviews with our internal teams will be scheduled on a rolling basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Buying team in the day-to-day management of seasonal Home assortments, from product development through launch
  • Assist with sample management, product organization and preparation for key milestone meetings and presentations
  • Pull and analyze weekly selling reports to identify product, category and customer trends
  • Conduct competitive and market research, sharing relevant product, trend and pricing insights with the team
  • Support assortment planning and product line reviews, including maintaining product information and tracking key updates
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design, Production and Planning to gain exposure to the full product development and buying process
  • Participate in team meetings, trend discussions and seasonal strategy work, contributing a fresh perspective and point of view

Role Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Buying, Merchandising, Business, Fashion, Design or a related field
  • Strong interest in home, interiors, retail, product and consumer trends
  • Curious, creative thinker with a strong product eye and enthusiasm for the Anthropologie brand
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in understanding how sales and customer insights inform product decisions
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and an eagerness to work cross-functionally

Project Requirement:

In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Trend Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred)·  Once you complete your project, please upload it to the additional documents section in the application process.

Create a concept board with 3 – 5 home trends you see emerging for the Anthropologie customer in Fall 2027.

    • Pull imagery from  Pinterest, Social, runway, high end publications, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!
    • We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been, so show us fun trends we should have in our assortment!
    • Our team is inspired by story telling so please make this as visually creative and compelling as you want!
