Role Summary

The Software Engineer Intern will be an integral part of each phase of the software development lifecycle including design, development, deployment, testing and maintenance. The primary focus will be on enhancing our Ecommerce platforms supporting the online shopping experience for our brands including Anthropologie.com, UrbanOutfitters.com, FreePeople.com and ShopTerrain.com.

The URBN 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/7 through 8/13 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.

Summer Internship Program Application Process:
  • Apply to one (1) internship posting that best aligns with your interests and skills. If there is a project component included in the application (see role qualifications below), it is required and must be submitted at the time of application to be considered for the position.
  • Complete a Video Interview: Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email with a link to complete a video interview. Once the email is received, candidates will have two (2) days to complete this portion of the application.
  • Interviews with our internal teams will be scheduled on a rolling basis.
Applications will close at 5:00 PM EST on October 30, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop new product features and advance the design of existing code for the Ecommerce applications.
  • Opportunity to use programming languages like python, Golang, Javascript, HTML & CSS
  • Opportunity to use databases like MongoDB & Postgres
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle.
  • Work on a scrum team with other software engineers, QA and Business Analysts

Role Qualifications

  • Understanding of OO principles and design patterns
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team setting.
  • Self-starter, ready to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Willing to take on responsibility for new features and develop them from inception to
    completion.
