Role Summary

FP Movement is looking for a PD Coordinator to coordinate tasks using sound project management principles, focused on a specific product type. In this role you will coordinate product communication with core & extended team members while demonstrating an understanding of apparel development, manufacturing & technical construction. Develops an understanding of the brand vision, goals & strategies and basic URBN fundamentals.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ability to apply the basic product validation within the product assortment assigned and communicates & elevates issues, project risks & impacts to their manager.
  • Demonstrates understanding of material tests, physical tests, fit & wear tests & how to apply them to ensure that the products they are responsible for meet and or exceed the consumer expectations.
  • Knowledgeable in basic retail math and understanding the garment costing with the support & coaching from their manager.
  • Meets assigned deadlines, taking direction regarding shifting priorities.
  • Break down assignments into sequential steps & completes day-to-day individual tasks.
  • Keeps projects on track by coordinating multiple tasks, monitoring the critical path, and meeting milestones / project deadlines, meeting the quality of deliverables at every stage.
  • Learn about & become knowledgeable in apparel construction and to evaluate proto samples for quality and cost.
  • Develops an understanding of margins, cost factors and how they influence decision making.
  • Demonstrates a creative approach to problem solving and curiosity for change & learning.
  • Incorporates the appropriate use of different forms of communication (when to use face to face, email, phone, etc.).
  • Actively participates in all forums they attend.
  • Begins to develop an understanding of the relationships & cultures of our global partners and an understanding of competition in the marketplace.
  • Supports team with sample tracking and reporting.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in apparel development
  • Proficiency in Excel/Word/Slides/Sheets & PLM software
  • Attention to details.
  • Working knowledge of fabric and construction
  • Continually seeking opportunities for process improvements
  • Displays courteous & effective written & oral communication skills; communicates ideas clearly & concisely.
