Role Summary

Nuuly is looking for a Production Designer with strong attention to detail to join our creative team! In this role, you won't just be making things look good—you’ll be making sure they work. You will take established design concepts and scale them across various formats, ensuring every file is technically perfect, brand-compliant, and ready for launch.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented and has a "pixel-perfect" mindset, is a master of the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where organization is just as important as aesthetics. They will be the final gatekeeper of our brand’s visual integrity, and have the opportunity to influence our production workflows and see work live across major platforms and physical spaces.

This role is based in Philadelphia, PA and will report to the Associate Creative Director.

Role Responsibilities

  • Technical Pre-flight: Prepare high-resolution, print-ready files (bleed, slug, color profiles) and optimized digital assets (web banners, social media, email).
  • Version Control & Scaling: Execute layouts for digital and print campaigns based on existing concepts, templates and style guides.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensure all collateral adheres strictly to brand standards, typography, and color palettes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Art Directors, Designers, Copy Writers and Project Management to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Mockup Creation: Produce high-fidelity physical or 3D digital mockups to help stakeholders visualize final products before mass production.
  • Vendor Coordination: Communicate directly with external printers and vendors to review proofs, discuss specs, and troubleshoot file issues.

Role Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in a production-heavy design environment (Agency or In-House).
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), Figma
  • Deep understanding of CMYK vs. RGB and spot colors (Pantone) and the communication skills needed for print production.
  • An obsession with alignment, kerning, and consistent padding.
  • The ability to troubleshoot file issues and suggest more efficient ways to build templates.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven time and task management capabilities.
  • Advanced understanding of design production across multiple marketing channels and ability to clearly communicate with vendors and industry professionals.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies and best practices.
  • Creative portfolio showcasing latest and most relevant work - required in application in order to be considered.
