Role Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and technically skilled Digital Technician and File Manager to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for photo organization and ensuring high-quality imagery during photoshoots. On in-studio days, work with the retouching team to maintain best practices for transfer of files for seamless execution of photographic assets from capture to post-production.  Additionally, you will manage the organization and integration of digital files into our studio workflow, particularly those captured during offsite shoots. This would either be through onsite digiteching for location shoots or ingesting files from an external freelance team.

Role Responsibilities

  • On location, monitor incoming files in real time, create organized folder structures, apply naming conventions, and back up files.
  • Assist in maintaining consistency in exposure, white balance, etc. across different sets and products.
  • Handle the naming and organizing of digital files, ensuring they adhere to established naming conventions.
  • Manage the integration of offsite shoot files into the studio's digital asset management system
  • Ensure the efficient storage, retrieval, and backup of digital assets, maintaining an organized and accessible archive.
  • Collaborate with the creative team and retouching to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in file management processes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to digital equipment and software.

Role Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital photography and lighting setup, preferably in a studio environment.
  • Proficiency in digital file management and organization, with experience using digital asset management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in file naming and organization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Capture One and Adobe creative suite.
  • Familiarity with digital photography equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with using Ai for creative imagery
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of best practices for file storage, retrieval, and backup.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and a passion for home decor and furniture.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the home decor or furniture industry.
  • Knowledge of color management principles and techniques.
