India Anthropologie Home Textiles PD/Sourcing Coordinator

Anthropologie Home is looking for a Merchandiser who will play a key role in supporting our global sourcing and product development strategy from the India office. This role will act as a bridge between vendors, design, sourcing, and production teams to ensure products meet brand standards for quality, cost, and timeliness. The Merchandiser will help drive execution of key categories, oversee vendor relationships, and support the brand’s broader diversification strategy.

Vendor & Product Development Management

• Manage day-to-day vendor communication, sample tracking, and follow-up to keep development and production on timeline.
• Lead vendor assist line plan targets, engage core vendors, reserve capacity / fabrics, and build capsule that reflects the concept.
• Partner with global sourcing teams to translate seasonal line plans into executable product assortments that adhere to price point, aesthetic and delivery goals.
• Ensure vendor compliance with brand standards on packaging, quality, testing, and regulatory and sustainability requirements.
• Review seasonal in-progress development samples against brief and troubleshoot development issues, proactively identify solutions to maintain timeline, cost, and design integrity.

Costing & Negotiation

• Support FOB cost negotiations, product engineering, to achieve margin targets while balancing quality and scalability.
• Benchmark cost comparisons across India to identify savings opportunities, present opportunities to US Sourcing Team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with the US Sourcing Team to align on seasonal strategy and execution requirements.
• Share updates proactively with stakeholders and flag risks early with solution-oriented options.
• Facilitate vendor onboarding, PLM (Tradestone) training, and assistance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or product development (home categories preferred).
• Strong knowledge of vendor management in India and/or Asia sourcing markets.
• Strong understanding of Textiles manufacturing.
• Ability to negotiate costs, manage timelines, and resolve vendor challenges effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple categories and vendors simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Excel, PLM systems, and reporting tools.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for working across global teams.
