Role Summary

 

FP Movement is looking for a Apparel Production Planning and Calendar Coordinator who will be reporting to the Senior Production Coordinator. The Apparel Production Planning and Calendar Coordinator ensures Purchase order hand off meetings are executed on time by managing fabric and color alignment, data accuracy, and calendar milestones. This role partners closely with design, merchandising, and global supply chain to maintain seamless communication throughout the product lifecycle, focusing on color assortment and purchase order execution.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Understand supplier capabilities and advantages, as well as opportunities for improvement. Ensure action plans are created and implemented to further align and maximize opportunity between URBN and suppliers.  Maintain positive, productive relationships with URBN suppliers.
  • Coordinate projected fabric and trim buys to align with seasonal color & fabric minimums, and sourcing strategies. Partner with Design, Technical design, Merchandising, and fabric team to confirm minimum information is clear and accurate and that pre- production timelines are met.
  • Create and utilize advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, and data validation to organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
  • Leverage Excel analytics to identify risks, track variances, and provide actionable insights to management and cross-functional partners for decision-making.
  • Continuously improve reporting accuracy and efficiency by streamlining data sources, developing standardized templates, and ensuring consistency across departments.
  • Monitor and manage purchase order accuracy to ensure clear communication and smooth transitions through the supply chain.
  • Lead proactive management of the pre – production calendar, tracking milestones and escalating risks as needed. Take ownership of Brand calendar visual tools
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to optimize material utilization, reduce waste, and manage fabric liabilities.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and cross functional alignment. Execute ad hoc operational reporting when needed; provide updates and reports on buy readiness to leadership teams.
  • Build key relationships between stakeholders to create an environment that drives speed to market initiatives, improves efficiency, and reduces weeks of supply. Proactively collaborate with internal partners to meet goals.

Role Qualifications

  • Progressive sourcing experience within complex, fast-paced apparel environment.
  • Focused experience in apparel production planning, and product operations. Specialty retail and/or direct to consumer experience is preferred.
  • Experience with PLM system required
  • A successful track record of building relationships with cross functional partners and offering new and innovative solutions to issues/challenges.
  • Process improvement capabilities including proven examples of implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Works with a high sense of integrity and urgency and is motivated by deadlines and new challenges.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and manage overlapping pre-production calendars.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Major in Fashion, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
