Role Summary

URBN is hiring a results-oriented and analytical Paid Search Associate with hands-on expertise in paid search to help drive the growth of our paid marketing program(s) and accelerate new user acquisition. As the Paid Search Associate, you will play a key role on supporting significant investments across Google and Microsoft Ads, while closely tracking performance and cost-efficiency metrics.

 

A successful candidate will be a meticulous, detail-oriented executor with a strong sense of accountability for campaign performance. They are not afraid to challenge the status quo and bring a proactive and persistent curiosity to their work. We are looking for someone who can seamlessly transition between detailed, hands-on-keyboard campaign execution and drafting concise, strategic reports that drive internal decision-making. Members of the team will regularly collaborate with a wide range of cross-functional partners across both individual brands and broader URBN to share action-oriented insights and drive business.

Role Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution & Optimization: Lead the daily, hands-on management and tactical optimizations of paid search campaigns across major platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads) to meet and exceed key performance indicators like ROAS and revenue targets.
  • Keyword Strategy & Research: Proactively conduct in-depth keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience segmentation to identify new growth opportunities, manage negative keywords, and ensure full query coverage.
  • Performance Reporting; Draft concise weekly and monthly performance summaries, clearly translating complex data trends, test results, campaign health, category performance, etc. into actionable insights for the marketing team and internal stakeholders.
  • A/B Testing: Partner with Paid Search Manager in the planning, implementation, and rigorous analysis of structural tests related to things like bidding strategies, new product features, product feed optimizations, and campaign architectures.
  • Budget Management: In partnership with Paid Search Manager, accurately monitor and manage campaign pacing against daily, weekly, and monthly budgets, ensuring optimal spend efficiency and delivery targets are met.
  • Ad Copy & Creative Maintenance: Maintain a creative library of ad copy, creative PMAX assets, and ad extensions ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and utilizing testing results for continuous improvement.
  • Promotion Execution: Own support for any and all brand promotions, supporting via avenues including promotional ad copy, extensions, and Google Merchant Promotions

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in SEM or performance marketing, preferably in the retail industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, SA360 (or similar) and Microsoft Advertising.
  • Experience executing Paid Search optimizations across Text and Shopping/PMAX.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to translate data into meaningful insights for reporting purposes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
