Role Summary

Overview           

URBN is seeking a highly motivated Information Security Intern to join our Information Security Team at our home office, at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. This team protects URBN from cyber threats and attacks. This role will be part of a team driving strategic initiatives, cyber resiliency, incident response, and technical implementation activities. You will get experience with top cybersecurity tools, work alongside industry professionals, and gain exposure to other Retail Information Security teams.

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Supports team in monitoring URBN’s computing environment for potential security risks and anomalies.
  • Awareness of basic information security principles.
  • Ability to sift through large data sets and create clear summaries.
  • Ability to prepare systems and process documentation with the graphics and flowchart narration.
  • Fast learner, persistent and diligent about following up.
  • Basic understanding of tools & techniques necessary to efficiently identify trends and extract indicators from large data sources.

Role Qualifications

Qualifications  

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security or related field required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Operating Systems, Cloud, Network, Firewall, Database & Web application, Information Security, IT Standards, OWASP, CVE and Security Frameworks will be an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
