Role Summary

Free People is looking for an Analyst to join our Marketing Analytics team. The right candidate will possess a balance of strong analytical skills and creative curiosity with an interest in both marketing effectiveness and digital performance.

 

This role will play an integral part in measuring and optimizing marketing strategies, with a particular focus on supporting growth in international markets. The Analyst will contribute to an environment of fact-based, data-driven decision making within the Free People and FP Movement brands, helping to quantify the impact of brand awareness-building initiatives as well as identify emerging market trends to guide strategic decisions.

 

The Analytics team is part of the integrated FP Digital Team which includes Marketing and Customer Strategy. We collaborate with a wide range of cross-functional teams and leadership across Free People and URBN to share action-oriented insights and drive the direct business.

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyze digital performance across domestic and international regions, identifying marketing, product, and category opportunities to drive growth in key markets such as the UK, France, Netherlands, and Denmark
  • Measure channel effectiveness across social media, paid and organic search, affiliate and influencer partners, programmatic display, print media/PR, brand collaborations, outbound messaging (email, app push, SMS), and emerging platforms
  • Highlight emerging macro fashion trends and connect insights back to opportunities for marketing, merchandising, buying, and creative partners
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to track marketing performance globally.
  • Analyze product and category-level performance (e.g. Denim, Activewear, Dresses) and proactively identify opportunities
  • Translate quantitative findings into clear, actionable recommendations and communicate results to cross-functional stakeholders

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong aptitude for reading and understanding quantitative data, with an interest in fashion and consumer trends
  • At minimum two (2) years of experience in a marketing analytics, ecommerce, retail, or agency environment
  • Experience with SQL is preferred, but openness to learning is equally valued
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to creative and business teams
  • Collaborative and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented organization
