Role Summary

Anthropologie seeks a digital marketing professional to lead search marketing activation strategy for Anthropologie Group brands

 

This role is highly cross-functional where teamwork, innovation, analysis and strategic thinking are critical aspects of this position’s responsibilities.  We are looking for a passionate Digital Marketer with expertise in both Paid and Organic Search.

 

You need to connect the dots between our business goals, macro business performance, customers, and our mission to encourage and inspire and our unique product assortment to drive growth. You will lead your team to collaborate closely with agency teams, creative leads, merchants, and ad tech stakeholders to develop strategic plans while leading a team to execute that strategy.

 

In this role, thought leadership, collaboration, and clear communications are key. It is critical that you are curious, a self-starter, and a willing teammate who takes pride in ownership of this important program. It's important to possess an eagerness to innovate, curiosity and excitement for search, and the ability to measure, test, sometimes fail, learn, and evolve.

 

This role is Hybrid and will be required to be in office 3 days/week with flexibility on which days you are in office.

Role Responsibilities

Executive Presence & Knowledge Sharing

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing expert recommendations on paid and organic search strategy including but not limited to : investment decisions, technology innovation, and general channel strategy
  • Synthesize complex performance data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership, highlighting channel impact on divisional and total business performance.
  • Monitor channel/agency performance and pacing against KPIs (ROAS, CPA, CTR) and hold regular check-ins to review optimizations and results.
  • Continuously identify and implement innovative paid search tactics, leveraging emerging platform features and industry best practices to drive competitive advantage.

 

Channel Management & Innovation

  • Translate high-level business priorities into actionable search initiatives, ensuring alignment across brand and divisional strategies
  • Build projections and investment recommendations for allocation and monthly spend pacing, working with the agency to adjust plans and budgets as needed.
  • Lead agency and internal teams with authority and clarity, ensuring flawless execution of paid search campaigns while making data-driven decisions that optimize performance and influence broader marketing strategies.  This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities
  • Evaluate and challenge agency and platform recommendations, providing strategic input and ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Proactively identify and implement innovative paid search tactics, leveraging emerging platform features and industry best practices to drive competitive advantage and measurable business impact
  • Review and approve agency media plans, keyword strategies, and ad copy, ensuring they meet brand guidelines and performance goals.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting by validating agency implementation of conversion tracking, pixels, and analytics integrations.
  • Ensure regular campaign structure and setting are audited periodically to confirm adherence to best practices and compliance requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Contribute to other team projects and initiatives, remaining flexible and willingness to support opportunities to drive the business
  • Champion a culture of testing and learning by designing experiments that inform future strategy and deliver measurable business impact
  • Manage a paid search specialist and organic social team of 2 through fostering career development opportunities and skills growth.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by collaborating with creative, merchandising, and analytics teams to integrate paid search initiatives into holistic marketing campaigns that support brand and divisional objectives Lead and expand a shopping campaign strategy to drive profitable demand to drive key areas of the business.
  • Work closely with Ad Tech partners, to develop and implement advanced automation and optimization solutions that will drive efficiencies.

Role Qualifications

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in search marketing – both paid and organic, with emphasis on Paid
  • Expert in paid search platforms and tools
  • Agency and/or consulting experience a plus
  • Expert in PMAX/Shopping Campaign Optimization
  • Experience collaborating with both internal resources, external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
  • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
  • Experience presenting recommendations and/or test ideas informed by internal and external trends
  • Experience analyzing channel results and laddering channel insights up to business goals 
  • High degree of project management skill
  • Medium to High Familiarity with web analytics
  • Passion for search, staying on top of the changing ecosystem including advertising formats, Search AI landscape, and other technologies
  • An innate curiosity and ability to breakdown complex analyses into concise, straightforward recommendations and marketing initiatives
