Role Summary

Anthropologie is seeking a curious, detail-oriented Digital Analyst to join our Analytics team. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and enthusiastic about learning in a fast-paced, creative environment.  
 
This role plays an integral part in driving digital strategy by carrying out analyses and collaborating with the larger Digital team to implement optimizations across the website and app. This person will contribute to an environment of fact-based, data-driven decision making within the Anthro Group family of brands, utilizing URBN’s extensive supply of customer, campaign, product, site, and marketing channel data. Proficiency in SQL is essential, as the role involves querying large datasets to extract actionable insights and support strategic initiatives. 

 
The Analytics team is part of the larger Marketing organization within Anthropologie, consisting of brand and digital marketing, consumer insights, brand voice, and sustainability. We collaborate with senior leadership and cross-team partners to drive Anthropologie Group’s overall business.   

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyze browser behavior and purchase patterns across our site and app to understand customer mindset, identify patterns and friction points, and provide actionable recommendations 
  • Partner frequently with creative, web content, and merchandising teams at Anthropologie to collaborate on site strategy, as well as digital analytics groups URBN-wide to share learnings and best practices 
  • Turn quantitative insights into qualitative recommendations and distill data down to actionable opportunities through clear delivery and communication skills 
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain automated reporting powered by SQL 
  • Assist in QA of onsite tagging and lead communication to flag and resolve issue 

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field 
  • A minimum of 2 years analyzing data and translating insights into stories with actionable recommendations, preferably in retail or ecommerce environment 
  • A minimum of 2-3 years utilizing SQL to execute complex queries in a database environment  
  • Experience working with relational databases and cloud-based data platforms, particularly Snowflake, to query, analyze, and interpret large datasets for actionable insights 
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including navigating the interface, building custom reports, and interpreting user behavior data to inform digital strategy and performance optimization 
  • Additional proven experience with tools for data visualizations, such as Qlik, Looker Studio, or Tableau   
  • Possess strong analytical capabilities, logical thought processes, and great curiosity to uncover opportunities and solve problems  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong ability to juggle multiple priorities at once 
  • Collaborative personality with the ability to also work independently 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented organization
