Role Summary

Terrain is seeking a strategic, analytical, and content-savvy Associate Social Media Manager to drive performance on Terrain’s organic social channels.

 

Within this role, we’re seeking a candidate who will champion and celebrate brand creative and has a passion for gardening and home goods products and trends, social channel and content strategy, setting and achieving goals, and driving results on social media. The role is responsible for leading organic social media strategy for the Terrain brand, including overseeing the editorial calendar, leading content strategy, and creator program. This role will collaborate with the team to execute all social projects, in addition to the responsibilities highlighted below.

 

You will be an integral part of both the Terrain Marketing team and Anthropologie Social Media team, working and partnering closely with cross-functional teams such as Copy, Design, Merchandising, Creative, and Brand Marketing to ensure product and message are aligned, with timely and relevant deployment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Social Media Director in creating strategic plans for brand campaigns across the Terrain social channels inclusive of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook.
  • Plan and execute social campaigns that drive business goals, support seasonal product launches, and other brand milestones from beginning to end.  
  • Lead, create, and distribute campaign and channel recaps to internal teams and cross-functional partners. 
  • Oversee the management and execution of the social media editorial calendar while also ensuring alignment with key business initiatives that reinforce key brand moments.  
  • Work with Social Media Coordinator and Creative team to formulate weekly Instagram cadence dependent on editorial calendar needs and product priorities.  
  • Partner with the Social Media Coordinator to lead execution and development of the Commissioned Creator program including creating timelines, leading outreach, casting, negotiations, agreements, product ordering, and invoice submissions.  
  • Oversee concepting and creation of social-first content with a focus on trends and product priorities on TikTok and Instagram.  
  • Maintain monthly social media budget, aligning with financial processes.  
  • Lead organic boosting strategies to amplify content and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
  • Stay abreast of the social media landscape, developments, and trends.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the brand’s product, customer and policies.
  • Apply attribution best practices to image usage rights, copywriting & social media posts to ensure legal compliance.

Role Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in social media marketing at a retail/ e-commerce organization or agency 
  • A positive and high energy individual
  • Strategic, results oriented marketer with a proven track record in social media campaign execution.  
  • Attention to detail and proven time management and organization skills.
  • Extremely well organized, methodical, and efficient.
  • Paid social ad creation and campaign execution within platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest are a plus.   
  • Skilled at organizing, planning, and executing simultaneous projects and activities.  
  • Comfort in in experience working directly with external partners, vendors, and influencers.  
  • Very strong presentation and communication skills. Team player and collaborator.  
  • Excellent knowledge in the social media landscape. Understanding in cross-functional relationships with brand marketing and public relations.  
  • Innovative and excited to bring ideas to the table. 
  • Data driven and highly analytical in order to build traffic and grow an engaged audience.
