Role Summary

Urban Outfitters is looking for an Ecommerce Optimization Intern to join us for the Summer. As an Ecommerce Intern, you’ll assist in the execution of A/B tests, user experience audits, and site performance tracking. You’ll work closely with UX, analytics, and development teams to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates, engagement, and overall site functionality.

The URBN 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/1 through 8/7 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.
 
Summer Internship Program Application Process:
 
1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills. If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position. This is due at the time of your application submission.
 
2. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.
 
3. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.
 
Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 3rd, 2025.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up and monitoring A/B and multivariate tests using optimization tools (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize, Adobe Target). 
  • Help analyze test results and user behavior data to identify actionable insights. 
  • Support the documentation of test plans, hypotheses, and outcomes. 
  • Conduct competitive research and UX audits to benchmark best practices. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test readiness and alignment with business goals. 
  • Help maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify new testing opportunities and site enhancements. 

Role Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, UX Design, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Interest in e-commerce, digital UX, and data-driven decision-making. 
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) is a plus. 
  • Basic understanding of A/B testing concepts and optimization tools. 
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with data visualization tools is a bonus. 
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
