Role Summary

Free People is seeking a Product Developmnet Coordinator to provide excellent admin and interpersonal skills when communicating with internal and external partners. Accurate data entry of purchase orders, style creation and maintenance, tracking samples and handover, and working with external partners on production stages and deadlines will be core to the role.

Role Responsibilities

  • Create weekly order and sales recap reports.
  • Manage style entry and maintenance in PLM and B2B systems, communicate style information to vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage entry and maintenance of purchase orders (POs), ensuring costing is up-to-date and any revisions are managed and communicated both externally and internally.
  • Provide support in QA/QC process, communicating relevant PO info, deadlines and deliveries.
  • Work with vendors on negotiating and securing costs, MOQs and leadtimes. Organize and communicate this info in cost sheets.
  • Manage freight offer collection, system entry and rates input to buy sheets.
  • Collecting, logging, and organizing mail promptly for sample distribution and component approvals.
  • Help create color spec files for SMS orders.
  • Manage customs import data with vendors, ensuring all is provided correctly and accounted for and communicated to the Compliance team.
  • Ensure that weekly T&As and Sample Trackers are received, reviewed, and analyzed to ensure the most accurate information is being reported, keeping production deadlines on time and prepped for weekly meetings. Escalate issues that impact delivery, coordinate and analyze solutions with both internal and external partners. Track and manage catalog, SMS, TOP and photo samples. Work closely with wholesale and sample management teams to ensure SMS are delivered on time, accounted for and distributed for show deadlines.
  • Pull together trend information and participate in quarterly brainstorm meetings.
  • Keep sample database up to date for cataloguing development samples.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure product is handed to the studio, merchandising teams and wholesale teams to meet deadlines.
  • Partner with tech team to have all previous samples pulled for fit sessions. Prioritize styles to be fitted and ensure everything is passed on time.

Role Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant experience in Fashion, Retail, Product Development or a related field.
  • Proficient in data analysis, data input and Microsoft Systems.
  • Ability to work within and across cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Possesses a proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as an understanding of, and ability to, implement operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to analyze production process, advise on strategies and achieve sample deadlines.
  • Organized, detail oriented, and flexible in order to assist on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Works with a high sense of urgency and integrity, easily and quickly adapts to change, and is motivated by deadlines and new challenges.
  • Education: Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
