Role Summary

Urban Outfitters is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join us for the Summer. The Graphic Designer Intern is responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of the visual identity for the Urban Outfitters brand across retail and digital channels. This includes carrying out direction from the Art and Creative Directors for design and production of all facets of the UO brand. This position requires a strong collaborative and explorative designer, with a hands-on approach to support multiple creative projects. The Graphic Designer Intern focuses on creation, development, preparation, and execution of a wide variety of projects.

The URBN 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/1 through 8/7 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.  

 

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

    

  • Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.  This is due at the time of your application submission.

  

  1. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.   

  

  1. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.    

  

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 3rd 2025. 

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Execution of a summer-long portfolio building project led by the intern and guided by the creative team.
  • Creative innovation and execution of printed and digital projects within the UO creative lens.
  • Strong focus on file preparation, mock-ups, attention to informational details, tech packs, setting up presentations, gathering supplies and more.
  • Research and gather inspiration, with clear communication of intention, offering several solutions.
  • Preflight, collect and export, as well as organizing files in a clean useable manner.

Role Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Proven aptitude for quick, creative, and adaptive thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative, and strong verbal etiquette.
  • Ability to problem solve and follow art direction.
  • Working knowledge of Apple, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and Figma.

 

 

 

Project Requirement: 

In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Design Project (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred). Once you complete your project, please upload it to the additional documents section in the application process. 

  • Create a design (site layout, store signage, set of posters, animated webpage, suite of branding or marketing materials, etc.) that demonstrates your creativity and understanding of the brand culture, voice & aesthetic.
  • Explain how/why this idea fits in with our brand, and how it would function. How would you help us create a stronger visual and conceptual relationship between all the different channels of our brand?
