Role Summary

Nuuly is looking for a Buying Intern to join us for the Summer. This Buying Intern will utilize reporting and internal communication tools to read customer product rentals, communicate relevant product information to the planning, buying, merchandising and distribution center teams and assist in the sourcing and development of product.

The URBN 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/1 through 8/7 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.  

 

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

    

  1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.  This is due at the time of your application submission.

  

  1. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.   

  

  1. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.    

  

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 3rd 2025.

Role Responsibilities

Supporting the Buying Team:

This includes assisting with the day-to-day operations of the buying team, such as managing merchandise flow and supporting the creation of product assortments. 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Building relationships with internal teams like the distribution center, buying operations, planning, website merchandising, brand creative, and the photo studio. 

 

Photo Studio Process:

Participating in the photo studio handoff process, providing input on styling and suggesting improvements. 

 

Market Research and Trend Forecasting:

Working on projects like competitive analysis, trend forecasting, and brand expansion opportunities to understand the market and customer preferences. 

 

Internship Programs:

Attending intern-wide programs to learn about the company, network with other interns, and gain insights into different departments. 

 

Project-Based Learning:

Completing a mutually beneficial project related to buying that showcases the intern's learning and areas of interest. 

 

Operational Support:

Assisting with the operational aspects of buying, such as managing purchase orders and tracking inventory. 

Role Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Creative thinking and a proactive approach.
  • An understanding of the customer's needs and the ability to identify trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

 

 

Project Requirement:

In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Trend Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred)·  Once you complete your project, please upload it to the additional documents section in the application process.

 

Create a concept board with 3 – 5 fashion trends you see emerging for the Nuuly customer in Fall 2026.

  • Pull imagery from blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, runway, etc. to show your point of view – merchandisers, make it into a story!
  • We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or where we have been!
