Role Summary

The Brand Styling Manager Apparel, Online & Virtual is responsible for leading Anthropologie’s in-store and online styling programs, with a focus on apparel categories. This role is responsible for connecting the core apparel customer with the brand’s broader lifestyle assortment - including Home, Weddings and Terrain through personalized, omni-channel styling experiences. The objective of this role is to elevate the overall brand styling experience, generate styling appointments and create more valuable, loyal customers that contribute to healthy KPIs. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Director of Brand Styling to build program tools, strategies and reimagine the customer experience at all stages of their life cycle.  
  • Sets the vision and expectation for the retail styling program, developing training tools and inspirational styling content to support execution. 
  • Manages Brand Stylist to create inspirational styling and training content for the field.  
  • Drives a new, modern customer journey – both in store and online – to attract new customers and further engage existing customers while curating an only-at-Anthro experience. 
  • Acts as the brand apparel expert as it pertains to customer styling – collaborates with visual, e-commerce, and creative teams to align on brand styling direction. 
  • Owns the online styling program & leads a team of virtual stylists to host brand-right styling consultations & experiences to generate more loyal, valuable customers. 
  • Meet sales & conversion goals as directed and manages appointment availability to meet agreed upon appointment quotas. Reports on online styling sales & KPIs generated through appointments. 
  • Communicates customer feedback with appropriate partners and identifies solutions. 
  • Collaborates with field leadership and stylists as needed to mentor & develop new stylists and pass along cross-selling or in-store styling opportunities. 
  • Connects customers with different styling services, team members & products across Anthropologie Apparel, Home, Weddings & Terrain in-store and online. 
  • Partners with Marketing team to drive awareness & visibility to styling services and increase appointment booking rates & styling engagement. 
  • Supports service, selling & training partners with relevant styling content as needed. 
  • Performs administrative tasks for appointment & clienteling technology. 
  • Hosts relevant calls, trainings & workshops to elevate the online styling program. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Role Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working in personal styling, apparel merchandising or retail sales management role  
  • Enthusiastic people-oriented individual who is passionate about the customer and demonstrates desire to help others grow and develop styling skills  
  • Deadline-driven, independent, proactive, motivated, dedicated and able to take initiative on projects 
  • Creative and flexible mindset with a willingness to take risks and think outside of the box 
  • Must work well in a team environment and display a willingness to pitch in
  • Outstanding creative and operational, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail & visual aesthetic 
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational and follow through skills 
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, deals well with complexity 
  • Ability inspire creative thinkers in complex businesses, not afraid to ‘roll up sleeves’ and dig in, maintains optimistic outlook 
  • Ability to take feedback and make adjustments in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong understanding of Retail environment and basic retail business acumen 
  • Expert understanding in apparel styling principles 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Anthropologie customer and brand 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs 
  • Coaching & development of direct reports 
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite programs 
  • Basic project management and design skills  
  • Ability to accommodate domestic travel and working in stores as needed
