Role Summary

Anthropologie is searching for a Cut & Sew knits designer. This designer will be responsible for creating and developing Maeve knit tops collections that align with the brand's aesthetic, trend, and customer preference. Design fashion forward shapes/silhouettes, newness in deco/embellishment and strong POV to move the customer forwards.

Role Responsibilities

Design and Development
Conceptualizing, sketching, mocking desin mocks and developing original knit top designs
 
Trend & Fabric Research:
Identifying and interpreting current and emerging fashion trends/fabrics within the knits tops and having a strong eye for newness and the unknown in shape. Ability to research and analyze fashion trends for Maeve customer.
 
Technical Package Creation:
Developing detailed technical packages that include garment specifications, measurements, and construction details.
 
Sampling and Fit:
Overseeing the creation of samples and ensuring proper fit and quality control.
 
 

Role Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of knit construction, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent sketching and design skills, with proficiency in CAD software.
  • Ability to research and analyze fashion trends.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of the Anthropologie Maeve brand aesthetic and customer.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
