Nuuly Principal Analyst

Nuuly is looking for a Principal Analyst to join the Nuuly Analytics team. 

What is Nuuly Analytics:

The analytics team brings data-driven insights to functions, including buying/planning, logistics, finance, customer service, marketing, and user experience. They collaborate closely with the data science team, working together on model development and using algorithms to address core questions.

You are an organization-wide thought leader, always on the forefront of new technologies and analytical approaches. You enjoy acting as a technical mentor to analysts, providing guidance on code quality, analytical approaches, and strategic thinking.

• Lead analytics initiatives that shape business strategy, especially in high-priority domains like inventory optimization and planning. Over time, flex across domains (e.g., marketing, logistics, finance), becoming a trusted strategic partner across the org.
• Conduct complex analyses independently. Run simulations and conduct statistical analyses on test results.
• Understand and interrogate data via Google BigQuery (SQL) and Python
• Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating data into insights. 
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the meaning & intent behind their questions, not just perform question-and-answer services. Partner with stakeholders to inform strategy, suggesting new approaches, introducing new metrics to better understand the business, etc.

• 8+ years of analytics experience
• Expert-level SQL skills
• Advanced Python skills
• Demonstrated use of statistics in real-world applications
• Experience building and evaluating ML models
• Experience with time-series forecasting
• Proven ability to mentor peers and elevate team-wide analytical rigor
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform, is a plus
• Significant experience working with technical & non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience
