Role Summary

As a Merchandiser (Stores/Wholesale) you will work to support the merchandising team to identify and position key distortions, trend concepts and a strong color point of view- focusing on direction for our physical spaces in both our stores and wholesale projects. You will champion these spaces through dynamic merchandising direction, aligning key buys and product conversations while protecting total brand identity and FP Movement’s unique handwriting in the activewear space.

You will collaborate cross functionally with the home office Merchant teams as well as our Visual/Creative teams; all with the common goals of supporting business development and brand integrity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Attend business meetings and react to merchandising strategy accordingly.
  • Communicate key messaging/product information to teams.
  • Identify, assort, and package key product distortions; work with buying and planning teams to prioritize key seasonal, monthly and regional strategies – interpreting on order and key buys into big ideas and executable retail concepts- rolling out compelling direction for both our smallest spaces and largest flagship location(s)
  • Maintain and manage direction for all in-store physical brand elements (from imagery to store signage) through seasonal refreshes, collaborating closely with the creative and copywriting teams

Role Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of merchandising experience
  • Strong understanding of the FP Movement customer and the ability to translate marketplace and trend trajectories
  • Enthusiastic about product and the activewear space
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and motivating in presentation and communication style.
  • Ability to work independently with high sense of urgency while supporting company goals and objectives and balancing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to understand and interpret sales and translate to relevant merchandising and aesthetic cues.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams on a high level, understanding objectives of all teams, problem solving to reach creative, innovative solutions.
  • Styling, visual merchandising, or buying experience preferred.
