Role Summary

The Home Stylist is responsible for styling Home e-commerce product, as well as styling marketing assets as needed.

The Home Stylist reports to the Senior Stylist and works closely with the Photographers, Digital Technicians, Production Assistants, Photo Studio Manager, Post Production and Buying Teams to help ensure all home merchandise is styled and photographed according to the studio guidelines.  The Home Stylist must maintain an in-depth knowledge of UO Home’s growing brand identity and future direction, as well as current trends within the Home market.

Role Responsibilities

  • Style Ecommerce product on set in studio 4-5 days per week (Fridays usually consist of product prep, weekly studio meetings and prop shopping)
  • Maintain ecommerce styling standards while paying close attention to the product’s functionality, features, benefits, and uniqueness
  • Consistently style inspirational images that support the UO brand
  • Attend sample handoff meetings, taking notes and checking all items against the spreadsheet provided at the time of the handoff
  • Assist Senior Stylist and Studio Manager in planning setlists, scheduling and coordinating with buying teams about product issues prior to shooting
  • Make sure all sample product is prepped for following week
  • Maintain and organize product, prop shelves and cleanliness of studio
  • Follow deadlines and schedules in order to execute ecomm imagery and marketing messages in a timely manner
  • Weekly Prop Shopping

Role Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of flats, home styling, and soft styling experience preferred
  • Background and/or strong understanding of Home marketplace for ecommerce
  • Professionally represent the Photo Studio team
  • Detail-oriented, creative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume studio environment
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Works enthusiastically with a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth understanding of the UO brand, customer, and applicable Home trends
  • Prioritizes and meets deadlines
  • Positively and constructively responds to technical and creative feedback
  • Can move furniture pieces, wall units, and other items required to build a set
  • High level of visual integrity and the skill to translate and execute editorial concepts on set
  • Must be available to travel
