Role Summary

The Temporary Associate Store Designer will assist in the design development of new stores, remodels, and special projects under the supervision of Store Designers and Senior Designers. This includes the development and production of a complete Design Development set for all Design Review Meetings (DRMs) and issuance to the Architect of Record for construction documentation production.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist other Store Designers and Senior Designers to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive CAD Design Development Set to Shared Services and the Architect of Record for construction document production
  • Assist in creating design details as part of the Design Development package
  • Develop storefront renderings and interior perspectives using SketchUp or hand sketches when
    necessary under the direction of other Store Designers
  • Work on multiple projects with variable timelines concurrently
  • Ensure accurate documentation of design revisions and changes
  • Participate in Design Review Meetings to gain understanding of the evolution of new design concepts and stay up to date on standards
  • Responsible for knowledge of schedules set by the Store Designers and meeting all deadlines
  • Participate in design brainstorming sessions with the team

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an architecture or design firm
  • Experience working on retail projects a plus
  • Experience in coordination of Architectural, Structural, MEP to facilitate Construction Drawing (CD) production
  • Experience in developing design details in CAD for drawing sets
  • Must be able to work creatively with others
  • Ability to work towards demanding deadlines, as well as being self‐motivated
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast‐paced environment and be able to adapt when directions or priorities change on short notice
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Must be proficient SketchUp, Adobe Programs and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to hand sketch
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel when necessary
  • Location: Philadelphia, PA
