Role Summary

Anthropologie is seeking an Associate Design Director for Handbag Design & Product Development. In this role, the Associate Design Director will be responsible for driving inspiration and design for Anthropologie's growing Handbag category. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify trends in styling and color that can be used across all of Accessories, focusing on Footwear
  • Create seasonal inspiration decks and align with Merchants before working with vendors to create and develop new styles
  • Design & develop within the seasonal Line Plan numbers, estimated 500 styles per year
  • Gather seasonal booking dates to align with Investment Review dates
  • Sample tracking in preparation for Investment Reviews
  • Share unit buys by style with vendors to negotiate final costing
  • Once the assortment is landed, collaborate with the Merchant team on branding by style
  • Provide technical fit comments to vendors to get to the best fit possible, acting as the fit technician and fit model
  • Problem solve as needed during bulk production

Role Qualifications

  • 7+ years experinece designing and working cross functionally to bring product to life commercially
  • Extensive design and technical handbag experience in Design and PD
  • CAD, Photoshop, Excel, Powerpoint
