Role Summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking a Senior Analyst who will drive strategy and analytics to inform site design and product decisions. Responsibilities include managing the testing process, developing reports, and championing a test-and-learn culture. The position optimizes marketing budgets, promotional strategies, and loyalty campaigns by analyzing data, and providing insights, and actionable recommendations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and analytics across the business, with a focus on the following functional units: digital merchandising, product performance and customer behavior
  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual reports, as well as executing ad hoc requests.
  • Report on funnel, page and content level performance, providing recommendations for optimization.
  • Work with tech team, A/B testing team and merchandising team to identify and implement optimizations that improve website, app and conversion funnel performance.
  • Identify business trends and shifts and recommend data-driven responses to Product and Merchandising organizations.
  • Design and build self-service tools for category and site owners.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating data into insights.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the meaning & intent behind their questions, not just perform question-and-answer services. Partner with stakeholders to inform strategy.

Role Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of marketing analytics experience with a strong preference for experience in a high-growth subscription or e-commerce marketing environment.
  • Primary Technical & Statistical skills: Expert-level experience with SQL to query, manipulate, and analyze data. Demonstrated strong ability to QA & interrogate queries to resolve bugs.
  • Secondary Technical and Statistical Skills: Experience with Site Analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.  Familiarity with data visualization tools (ie Tableau) preferred.
  • Cross-Team Player: Must be an exceptional collaborator, with demonstrated success working in an integrated cross-functional team environment. Experience working with technical & non-technical stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to an executive-level audience translating data into insights.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience
