Role Summary

Job Title: Social Media Manager – FP Movement

Location: Los Angeles / Santa Monica

Position Overview:
The Social Media Manager will report to the Sr Social Media Manager and assist in leading our social strategy across platforms with a strong focus on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest. You’ll be responsible for overseeing content creation, community management, performance analytics, integrating influencer content, and helping drive brand growth and visibility. This is a key role on our marketing team, perfect for someone who understands both the creative and analytical sides of social. You will mentor junior team members, collaborate cross-functionally, and play a critical role in shaping how our brand shows up online.

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the social media calendar across all platforms, ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives
  • Ideate, create, and curate engaging, on-brand content—both original and user-generated—that resonates with our audience and drives engagement
  • Oversee daily posting, scheduling, and real-time content opportunities
  • Monitor social trends, competitor activity, and emerging platforms to keep the brand culturally relevant
  • Build and manage a robust community by responding to comments, DMs, and engaging with our audience
  • Partner with influencer marketing team to amplify key moments and integrate influencer content into the social mix
  • Track performance metrics, generate monthly reports, and make data-driven decisions to optimize strategy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with campaign, merchandising, and digital teams  to ensure consistent messaging and visuals
  • Partner with influencer, campaign, PR, and merchendising teams to integrate creator content into social strategy and amplify brand storytelling
  • Analyze performance data regularly and translate insights into actionable optimizations
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, creator culture, and digital innovations to ensure the brand remains culturally relevant
  • Mentor and manage junior social/media team members or freelancers as needed

Role Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of social media experience, ideally within fashion, activewear, or lifestyle industries
  • Strong team management skills 
  • Proven success growing and managing brand accounts, especially on Instagram and TikTok
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific best practices, content formats, and performance metrics
  • Strong visual eye and experience with content creation—must be able to shoot or edit short-form video
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to craft compelling, on-brand copy
  • Passion for movement, wellness, and/or fashion

Tools & Skills:

  • Proficient in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or other editing tools
  • Experience with social scheduling and analytic tools (ie. Dash Hudson, Sprout, etc.)
  • Understanding of influencer strategy and how to repurpose creator content effectively
