Anthropologie is seeking an Junior Art Director to support the creative execution of home photography within our in-house photo studio. This role will collaborate closely with the Senior Art Director and Associate Creative Director to bring the brand’s vision to life across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a highly creative visual thinker with a strong understanding of photography, styling, and brand storytelling.
• Support the Associate Creative Director and Senior Art Director in executing the overarching
creative vision for home and still life photography.
• Partner with a team of photographers and stylists to develop compelling and brand-right
imagery.
• Work with Styling Director and stylists on our in-house style out process for creative
photography ideation and planning seasonally.
• Maintain ecommerce photo standards and work with team members on elevating creative for
any categories necessary to support the business needs.
• Collaborate with the studio operations team to ensure smooth workflows and efficient
processes.
• Work closely with producers to align on schedules, budgets, and production needs.
• Assist in concepting and mood boarding for seasonal campaigns, product photography, and
editorial content.
• Provide on-set art direction and feedback to ensure consistent brand aesthetics.
• Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging visual
storytelling techniques.
• Contribute to post-production discussions, ensuring final assets align with the creative brief and
brand identity.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with design, merchandising, and marketing teams.
• 7+ years of experience in art direction, photo production, or a related creative role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in home photography.
• Understanding of composition, lighting, and styling techniques and a passion for current trends
in the global interior design and home retail industries.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross divisionally.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced
environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge) and other relevant creative
tools.
• Experience working within a studio environment is a plus.
