Role Summary

Anthropologie is looking for a highly organized and creative Creative Merchandising Assistant to support the development and execution of trend-driven merchandising strategies. In this role, you’ll help bring seasonal stories to life by packaging product and messaging priorities for partner teams, organizing imagery and assets, maintaining merchandising documents, and curating product selections. You’ll play a key role in connecting trend insights to product storytelling by tracking emerging fashion and cultural trends and contributing to creative brainstorms. This is a great fit for someone with curiosity for fashion and culture, creative intuition, and the ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update imagery and messaging details in merchandising documents with speed and accuracy, ensuring all stakeholders have access to the latest information.
  • Curate featured product selections for marketing content, ensuring alignment with merchandising and storytelling priorities.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal presentations and reports that communicate merchandising strategies and trend insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Package and communicate seasonal and trend information in a clear format for styling, marketing, and buying teams.
  • Track and identify emerging fashion, styling, cultural, and social media trends that may influence Anthropologie’s messaging and product storytelling.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions and provide relevant trend insights to merchandising and marketing teams.
  • Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in all tasks to keep merchandising and marketing teams on track with key messaging priorities.

Role Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. Internship experience in merchandising, creative, or marketing is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in digital tools, including Google Slides, and Microsoft Office. Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to present ideas clearly and succinctly.
  • Creative Aptitude: A keen eye for trends with an understanding of how cultural moments impact fashion and retail.
  • Work Ethic & Speed: Must work with urgency and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Initiative & Curiosity: While much of the role is task-driven, a successful candidate will be a self-starter who identifies opportunities and takes initiative to bring fresh ideas forward.
