Role Summary

Anthropologie Home is looking for a Senior Designer of Home Accessories. On this team, you will drive the creative development of our product line, from concept to production. You will be responsible for identifying emerging trends and consumer needs, conceptualizing innovative designs, developing technical specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring your vision to market. Your expertise will ensure our home accessories are not only aesthetically compelling but also user-friendly, cost-effective, and manufacturable.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conceptual Design & Development:
    • Research and analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform design direction.
    • Develop innovative and original design concepts for home accessories, aligning with brand aesthetics and market demands.
    • Create detailed sketches, renderings, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
  • Technical Design & Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive technical specifications and production-ready drawings.
    • Provide expert guidance on materials, techniques, and manufacturing processes.
    • Collaborate with production teams and vendors to ensure accurate execution of designs.
    • Review and refine design briefs, providing technical input as needed.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Present design concepts and prototypes to the design team and stakeholders.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (production, sourcing, marketing) to ensure seamless product development.
    • Maintain clear and effective communication throughout the design process.

Role Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a product designer, specializing in home accessories or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing innovative and commercially viable products to market.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, material properties, and construction methods.
  • Exceptional sketching, rendering, and technical drawing skills.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D modeling software).
  • Experience with prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, rapid prototyping).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful and functional home accessories.
