Role Summary

Anthropologie Home is seeking a visionary Print & Pattern Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a creative professional who thrives on translating artistic concepts into captivating designs that resonate with our brand's aesthetic and our customers' lifestyles.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and Design: Develop original print and pattern designs for home products, including textiles, tabletop, and decorative accessories, ensuring alignment with seasonal themes and brand identity.
  • Trend Research: Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends in color, pattern, and design within the home décor industry to inform and inspire new collections.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, merchandising, and marketing, to ensure cohesive storytelling across all channels.
  • Technical Execution: Prepare detailed design specifications, repeat layouts, and color separations suitable for various production methods and materials. Product development briefing will be a minor part of this role; while prior experience is a plus, it can be learned on the job with support from experienced team members.
  • Presentation: Create compelling visual presentations and mood boards to communicate design concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Project Management & Process Improvement: As part of a small, fast-paced team, actively participate in refining workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and offering thoughtful, scalable solutions that help streamline project timelines and communication. We value initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to evolving our creative process.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in print and pattern design, preferably within the home décor industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of textile printing techniques, color theory, and material applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing a range of print and pattern designs applicable to home products.
  • This role is primarily based in the office, with flexibility to work from home on days when in-person presence is not required.
