Role Summary

FP Movement is looking for a Senior Coordinator of Raw Materials. Reporting to the Director for Raw Materials, the role is responsible for assisting in the execution of a raw materials strategy that allows designs vision to be met while supporting business goals in terms of IMU, lead time, quality and efficiency. In this role there is an emphasis for working with data and analysis for the department. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Send outgoing developments based on sourcing strategy. 
  • Works with mills on engineering & advanced queries. 
  • Follow-up & complete fabric & trim detail sheets and secure sample yardage for seasonal development. 
  • Efficient in PLM (Tradestone URBN PLM) 
  • Ability to set up material WIPs, fabric folders, etc. using excel & word documents. 
  • Assist in seasonal trend presentations.  
  • Create & maintain material library & boards. 
  • Maintain daily communication with cross functional partners, fabric mills, and suppliers. 
  • Benchmarks prices and can help in negotiations with pricing & lead times. 
  • Process Invoices. 
  • Drives calendar deliverables, can identify issues & escalate when needed. 
  • Understands department KPIs, working to achieve or exceed. 

Role Qualifications

  • Degree in textile related field  
  • 3-5 years in fabric merchandising or fabric sourcing with a large US/EU company preferred 
  • Solid knowledge of fabric, machinery & manufacturing, including dyeing & finishing 
  • Critical thinking & problem solving 
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal 
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities 
  • Experienced in PLM, Excel, Word and PPT
