Role Summary

The Fixture Designer is a highly collaborative role that is responsible for developing new fixtures and floorplans for both our retail and wholesale divisions. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with both Store Design and Store Operations teams to create floor plans for new and current stores.
  • Depending on business needs, create new fixture packages for the different apparel and accessory categories.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising teams to execute updates on current fixture packages.
  • Partner with vendors (domestic and international) to execute design and value engineer as needed.
  • Collaborate with wholesale teams to execute trade show layouts as well as showrooms fixtures and floorplans.
  • Create a development calendar for all new projects to keep vendors on track for sample delivery dates.
  • Track all expenses and invoices from ideas to final approved samples.
  • Work with store design and retail teams to customize fixtures for unique spaces as needed.
  • Presenting new ideas and concepts in meetings with brand executives.

Role Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of: Free People, FP Movement and the brand aesthetic 
  • Understanding of materials, fabrication and manufacturing techniques for furniture and fixtures
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience in fixture or furniture design.
  • Must be proficient in Sketchup and CAD
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Some hands-on fabrication skills preferred.
  • On site, in office Monday through Friday- NOT REMOTE
