Role Summary

URBN is searching for a Transportation Analyst to join our Global Supply Chain organization. This role works closely with functional owners and process users to ensure effective and efficient processes and systems are in place. The analyst role will support the transportation team by utilizing data to help drive new processes and continuous improvement. This role will focus on all functions of transportation, and work with others throughout the company. This role will hold responsibility for transportation finance related reporting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of logistics and transportation methodologies in support of organizational objectives
  • Monitor metrics, identify areas of improvement, and implement action plans for continual improvement of the team and organization
  • Analyze operational and financial metrics reporting to bring visibility to cost factors
  • Own the month-end/ R&O/P&L reporting, bucketing logic, and carrier invoicing processes
  • Provide operational commentary to assist in financial reporting and storytelling
  • Create and maintain process documentation for new and existing processes
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of resources, internally and externally within the organization
  • Monitor project progress, identify and escalate potential project risks and areas of opportunity

Role Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of supply chain or transportation related experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Good quantitative and analytical skills 
  • Drives for results while displaying enthusiasm, shows commitment to goals and is relentless in pursuing results
  • Deadline driven and displays a sense of urgency
  • Strong proficiencies in desktop software applications; Excel, PowerPoint
  • Capable of learning new systems quickly
  • Able to work efficiently both individually and as a team member
  • Good communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, familiarity with computer systems 
  • Must be self-motivated and goal oriented 
  • Has keen strategic agility; solves tough problems
