Role Summary

The Store Design & Display Coordinator will assist in the organization, transport, and production of all visual display developments.  In addition, they are responsible for managing the fixture production report.  Other responsibilities include email communication, calendar management, display and fixture tracking, participation in creation and installation of visual displays with the Home Office display team for meetings and special events.

We provide display for all Free People and FP Movement retails stores, FP wholesale showrooms and create custom display elements for tradeshows, pop up shops, and marketing events. This position is under the supervision of the Display Manager at Free People Home Office.

Role Responsibilities

  • Communicate with international vendors during the production process to ensure successful and timely display developments, pricing, and shipment
  • Keep sample photos, display development packages, and other important documentation clearly organized on the shared drive
  • Create order sheets as well as seasonal display introduction books using photoshop and excel skills
  • Compile the display orders from all retail and wholesale locations into one order form and communicate to the vendors.
  • Keep up to date shipping information for all locations that will be receiving display, including new store locations
  • Work with both the import compliance and export compliance team to ensure all shipments have proper documentation. (Purchase orders, invoices, customs descriptions)
  • Track and share POs and packing lists with store operations and shipping partners to make sure everyone is aware of what is coming in. Coordinate with store operations for any allocation changes
  • Communicate with shipping partners and vendors to coordinate shipment arrivals and departures.
  • Stay on top of new store openings to make sure display is delivered with their final fixture packages
  • Work with the accounting team to stay within budget and time restrictions to execute display project on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Track and submit vendor invoices to accounting in a timely manner
  • Assist with workspace organization and cleanliness as well as coordinating clean up days for the team in between display developments.
  • Coordinate and book display pick ups/drop offs for special events and pop ups with the URBN transportation team
  • Assist the display designer in their development of display ideas for 150 + retail stores, showrooms, tradeshows, and special events domestic and international
  • Assist in creating detailed design packages for vendors that accurately represent each display element for the season and instruct on construction

Role Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a team focused environment
  • Ability to work towards demanding deadlines, as well as being self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment and be able to adapt when directions or priorities change on short notice
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Must be proficient in Excel, familiar with Adobe Programs and Microsoft Office
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel when necessary
  • Comfort on a ladder for installs a plus
