Role Summary

SOCIAL CREATOR -  

 

The Social Creator is responsible for producing engaging and impactful content that reflects the brand’s unique voice and connects with existing and new audiences across social media channels. This role requires a balance of social and editorial expertise, creating various types of content—including video, photo, and art assets — while staying informed on trends, engaging with the community to identify content opportunities, and effectively executing the brand’s tone with proactive creativity. 

 

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

 

Content Development 

  • Create and curate visually compelling content, including videos, photos, and graphics tailored to platform-specific needs to connect with audiences.  
  • Develop channel-specific strategies that align with the brand’s voice and seasonal campaigns for organic and paid media. 

 

Trend Analysis and Adaptation 

  • Monitor emerging social media trends, viral moments, and platform updates to ensure the brand remains culturally relevant.  
  • React quickly to trends by producing timely and shareable content that fosters engagement. 

 

Creative Production 

  • Shoot and edit social-first photos and videos with a strong focus on storytelling and showcasing products creatively.  
  • Design platform-appropriate assets, ensuring all visuals meet branding and technical standards. 

 

Community Engagement 

  • Engage with the community to source content ideas and build meaningful connections that amplify the brand’s presence.  
  • Craft post copy and replies that balance humor, relatability, and aspiration to connect authentically with audiences and get that “hit comment.” 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, PR, and merchandising, to ensure cohesive storytelling and integration across campaigns.  
  • Partner with internal teams to align content with broader brand initiatives. 

 

Audience Growth 

  • Create highly shareable content that is socially and culturally relevant to engage broader audiences beyond current followers of the brand 
  • Focus on strategies that grow the customer base by appealing to new impressions and expanding the brand's reach. 

Role Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

 

  • Education: BA in Fine Art, Graphic Design or Media (desired not required) 
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in a social content role 
  • Social Media Expertise: Deep familiarity with social media platforms, their unique formats, audiences, and algorithmic nuances.  
  • Content Creation Tools: Expertise in social-first photography, video production, and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut).  
  • Storytelling Ability: Strong visual storytelling skills with an ability to balance aesthetic appeal and relatability.  
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication skills, with a knack for humor and an aspirational-yet-relatable tone.  
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical mindset to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.  
  • Adaptability: Capacity to adapt quickly to platform changes, cultural moments, and new trends 
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a strong sense of visual composition.
