Role Summary

The styling assistant is truly the backbone of the set and the organization of the closet, so they need to have a sense of urgency and the ability to communicate with everyone on the set. There may be days where the assistant is unpacking trunks, organizing the closet or assisting on set. We are looking for people that have some experience in the fashion industry, have a positive attitude, adaptable and hard working.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Each morning the assistants are responsible for prepping for set:
  • Ensure your cart/kit has everything needed (i.e. tag gun, scanner, clips, lint roller, static guard, shoe horn etc.)
  • Make sure all primary items have proper board cards.
  • Checking to make sure you have all props that you need for your day
  • Sign into Shot Flow account and prep the shot list
  • Make a shooting order with the Art Director
  • Connect with the Stylist or Pinner of the day
  • Steam all prop and primary items on the rack
  • You are required to stay as long as your set runs

 After set: 

  • Go through which primary items to keep for the closet with the onset stylist 
  • Tidy up studio (grab robe and slippers) 
  • Put away all return props
  • Put back all props in an orderly fashion
  • You are required to keep the closet organized. Every rack is organized by color and labeled by type of product. (ie strapless tops first, tank tops, short sleeve, long sleeve, etc.)
