Nuuly Senior Business Systems Analyst, Data Science

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for organizing the engineering activities of our Data Science and Machine Learning teams. Your primary duties will include running scrum ceremonies (standups, refinements, retrospectives), eliciting requirements, and writing user stories. You will work closely with the Product Manager to translate business requirements from various projects into actionable stories for our Machine Learning and Data Science teams. Projects will span needs across our customer experience and fulfillment operations.

• Facilitate and run scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, backlog refinement sessions, and retrospectives.
• Elicit and document detailed functional requirements.
• Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure alignment of business requirements with technical implementation.
• Coordinate with Data Science and Machine Learning teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project milestones.
• Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and productivity.

• 2-4 years of experience in product or Business Systems Analyst role for a product or platform that is data centric 
• Exposure to data science and machine learning concepts and practices.
• Experience working with Data Science and Machine Learning teams is a plus.
• Well-rounded experience delivering integrated software solutions with complex system architecture
• Experience turning business objectives into functional requirements and feature specifications
• Experience estimating and planning large initiatives with complex dependencies spanning multiple teams
• Knowledge of project management processes within agile settings and experience working in Scrum delivery teams (Certified Scrum Masters preferred) 
• Ability to query databases using SQL, read and understand JSON, interact with API’s in tools such as POSTMAN
