Role Summary

URBN is hiring an Associate Manager, Programmatic. URBN’s approach to digital media is ever-evolving, and Programmatic Media is a core channel to drive efficiency and new customer growth. We are expanding our in-house center of excellence to better serve all of the URBN brands with both strategy and buying.  The Associate Manager, Programmatic Media role will set standards and determine best practices for activating Programmatic media.  The role will collaborate with Brand Performance Marketing teams to achieve goals and drive return on ad spend with a combination of retargeting and prospecting strategies.  The right candidate will have a strong ability to analyze and optimize programmatic media on an evergreen basis. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of Programmatic Media campaigns, including Display, Native, Video, CTV and Audio channels, and in deep partnership with Brand channel owners and Marketing Analysts.
  • Continuously analyze data and optimize campaign performance to maximize ROAS.
  • Utilize data and insights to adjust targeting, creative, bidding strategies, and placements to achieve KPIs.
  • Manage multiple priorities, programs, and campaigns in parallel.
  • Regularly communicate performance, campaign changes, and new findings to Brand teams. Act quickly to communicate opportunities and optimizations and to troubleshoot campaign challenges or bugs. 
  • Manage relationships with media partners, DSPs, SSPs and other technology providers.
  • Encourage innovation amongst brands by staying up to date with industry trends.
  • Lead and execute ongoing tests of new formats, strategies, and technologies to advance programmatic media strategies and efficiency.
  • Partner with Brand Performance Media teams, Creative teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment between Programmatic campaigns and broader brand objectives.
  • Contribute to media strategy development and help inform budgeting and audience segmentation.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field
  • 2+ years programmatic media planning and buying. Hands on keyboard experience managing programmatic campaigns on DSPs such as The Trade Desk, DV360 etc. Experience managing multiple programs in parallel.
  • Strong understanding of programmatic media buying and real-time bidding. Familiarity with ad-serving technologies, dynamic creative, attribution tracking and third-party verification platforms. Experience deploying advanced audience segmentation and targeting methodologies
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights. Experience with Excel, Tableau, or similar reporting/analytics tools. Knowledge of digital attribution models and measurement frameworks
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring that campaigns are executed flawlessly and continuously optimized
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with brand media, creative and analytics teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively across multiple brands
