Role Summary

Anthropologie Living is looking for a Director of Print, Pattern, and Color, who will lead and inspire a team of talented designers to create innovative, artistic, market leading prints that align with our brand vision. They will be responsible for overseeing the print design process, from initial concept to final samples. We are looking for strong leadership skills, creative vision, and technical expertise which will be instrumental in driving the success of our print program.

Role Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership:
    • Lead the creative direction of the print design team, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation.
    • Develop and implement seasonal print and pattern trends that align with the brand's aesthetic and commercial goals.
    • Oversee the creation of original artwork, from sketches and hand-painted designs to digital illustrations.
    • Ensure the consistent application of the brand's aesthetic across all print designs.
    • Manage team workload and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of print designs.
    • Work closely with design teams as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment of print designs with overall business objectives.
    • Create seasonal print trend book.
    • Create seasonal color palettes.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a deep understanding of print production processes, including color separation, screen printing, and digital printing.
    • Collaborate closely with design teams to ensure accurate and efficient execution of print designs.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies, including AI-powered design tools.
    • Analyze sales data and consumer trends to inform future print design directions.

Role Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in print design, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent creative vision and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, pattern design, and print production techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
