Role Summary

URBN is looking for a Saleforce Marketing Lead. In 2021, URBN implemented Salesforce Marketing Cloud to unify its communication channels, including online advertising, email, push, app messaging, personalization, and journey orchestration. Shared Services seeks an ownership-oriented IT Salesforce Marketing Cloud Lead to evolve the platform and support our brand partners in their development of complex marketing campaigns.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support stakeholders across the URBN brands and within Shared Services in a fast-paced environment.
  • Train and mentor Marketing Cloud users in the creation of data-driven campaigns, complex journeys, and message templates.
  • Partner with the strategy team to design solutions to enterprise objectives within the marketing platform.
  • Maintain relationship with Salesforce and coordinate maintenance windows, support processes and business reviews.
  • Collect and prioritize enhancement requests for implementation and the platform.
  • Serve as backup system admin for Salesforce Marketing environment, maintaining data integrations and working with enterprise Salesforce team as necessary.

Role Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience managing Salesforce implementations or an active Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment for 1:1 marketing, with knowledge of Email Studio, Mobile Studio (specifically Mobile Push), Audience Studio, Contact Builder and Journey Builder (specifically creation of complex multi-channel campaigns.)
  • 2 years writing AMPscript to accomplish data and customization goals within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • 2 years writing original SQL, with an understanding of joins, data profiling and data models.
  • Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification preferred
  • Experience with using JIRA, Slack, and other productivity apps to track, monitor and triage projects and stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in easy to digest documentation/blueprints
  • Experience with sync between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Familiarity with the push channel, specifically device IDs, deep linking in app and AASA files preferred
  • Familiarity with email deliverability and Google Postmaster preferred
  • Familiarity with HTML templating and dynamic content coding preferred
  • Familiarity with standard marketing metrics and reporting preferred
