Role Summary

The Design Coordinator is a key operational support role within the design team. This position plays a

critical part in organizing and managing the team’s day-to-day activities, collaborating closely with Design Directors and cross-functional teams. The Design Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the design calendar, managing the design visual assortment decks, support design with Tradestone tasks, and ensuring the flow of operational tasks across the team.  This role is designed for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced design environment. The Design Coordinator is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the design team’s processes and delivering exceptional results.

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calendar Management: Oversee and manage the team’s design calendars to ensure all meetings are happening in a timely manner with no overlap. Monitor key milestone progress and support teams with ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Tradestone: Support designers with submitting tech packs into Tradestone.
  • Skylines/Visual Assortment Decks: Organize and update seasonal skylines/ visual assortment decks.
  • Sample Support: Collaborate closely with Production team partners on shipping and receiving and logging samples. Assist in unpacking samples and setting up for Line Review meetings.
  • New Hire/Personnel: Assist in onboarding Home Design team new hires, providing training and tools to support their success (for example, ensuring their laptop & log in are ready on their first day and that they receive any team specific onboarding materials). Manage technology needs for the team.
  • Team Management: Facilitate collaboration and clear communication across the team and partners. Own organization and execution of operational tasks and processes.  Perform other operational tasks as needed to support the Home Design team’s efficiency and productivity.

Additional Duties:

  • Attend milestone meetings, take detailed notes, and ensure follow-up on key action items.
  • Work closely with the design team to establish and implement best practices for improved workflow and efficiency.
  • Assist with sample preparation for review, ensuring the team is organized and prepared.
  • Provide problem-solving support for any issues that arise within the team, escalating to directors/design managers as needed.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to pick up new tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
