Role Summary

The Senior Producer is responsible for overseeing  and managing the entire production process from concept to completion for monthly creative shoots  while maintaining departmental and company goals. They will identify project scope, develop timelines and milestones, plan and manag­e budget allocations, facilitate communication, and ensure project delivery requirements are met. This role will mentor junior team members and, in addition to working with Anthropologie’s in-house teams, will manage part-time creative support and external agents, talent and production+ post-production partners.  A successful candidate will be an expert communicator, adept at engaging all levels of contributors, and working with many different types of creative professionals and creative outputs and collaborating successfully.

The Senior Producer will have strong leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate those around them with as well as the ability to prioritize work from multiple stakeholders and resolve roadblocks for the team as well as fostering positive relationships with outside talent, vendors and agencies. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all  pre to post-production stages of creative shoots managed, especially Fashion Editorial shoots. Duties include but not limited to: estimating shoot budgets, negotiating talent rates, researching locations, coordinating scouting, managing freelance support, acting as the main on-set producer, managing post-production, handling billing/invoicing and reconciling the shoot at months end, all while keeping the creative teams up-to-date throughout and keeping budget and business needs in mind.
  • Work directly with Senior members of the Creative team managing projects through the entire lifecycle: concept, planning, creative, production, delivery, post-production and wrap to ensure creative vision is executed. Ability to clarify requirements and deliverables when there is ambiguity.
  • Strong understanding of each cross-divisional partners goals to effectively resolve conflicts between schedule, resources and creative needs.
  • Successfully manage budgets for all web creative including yearly forecasting, mid-monthly and end-of month estimated actuals and month-end close process.
  • Maintain key relationships with agency vendors to consistently push quality of talent while maintaining budgetary goals; negotiating contracts and rates to secure the best talent and resources for the production while managing costs effectively and rates are consistent  and fair.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities for efficiencies  in current processes; continuing processes that work and shows foresight to change what is not.
  • Problem solves budget solutions holistically; regularly communicates with larger team and utilizes any cost savings in an efficient manner through close-out within 30 days of wrap.
  • Works with a cross brand mindset; collaborates with Anthro Home, Weddings and Terrain team for cross-collaboration shoot production.
  • Creates opportunities to create diverse still and video content across all channels; continuously seeks new ways of working with freelancers + content creators.
  • Regularly present models, photographers, hair and makeup, set designers, locations and models to creative teams; always keeping in mind diversity and inclusivity.
  • Mentor junior team members in production of on location and studio shoots ensuring each shoot production is successful and all crew members are supported, strengthening the team’s overall ability to service the department and our cross functional partners’ ever-growing content needs.
  • Own project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews, etc.), and communicates action steps to the broader team.
  • Willing to travel and attend shoots, both domestic and international.

 

Role Qualifications

  • At least 6-8 years of experience in production
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Slack, Notion and Airtable experience a plus
  • Solid experience in lifestyle and fashion production - photo (digital and film) and video.
  • Specialized knowledge of the fashion industry and photoshoot production, especially on location and with freelance talent.
  • A calm, strong, intuitive personality who can take initiative and execute with little supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, respond efficiently to requests and communicate with people politely and effectively at a range of different levels through a high pressure environment.
  • Closely collaborate  with other production team members on a regular basis to ensure consistency in production practices and processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills – must be able to negotiate estimates on jobs, as well as, stay on budget and follow through with all required requirements between agencies and partners. Ability to negotiate with future projects in mind.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills – the ability to think strategically and execute methodically – with little supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Must be able to multi-task and oversee numerous coinciding projects.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills; Attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Adaptive to change and tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic team player.
  • Proven experience managing teams and personnel.
  • Very strong business acumen.
