Role Summary

The FP Movement team is looking for a technical designer with experience in performance/activewear with ability to adapt quickly to growing brand needs.   This technical designer must be able to work in a fast paced team environment and collaborate daily with multiple cross functional partners.

Role Responsibilities

The senior technical designer will be responsible for working direclty with PD and design on style development for specific price ranges and delivery dates.   The senior technical designer leads fit sessions, owning construction and fit while also offering design and buying options in how to correct shape/silhouettes for customer satisfaction.

Role Qualifications

  • 10+ years industry experience preferably with most years focusing on activewear/performance apparel.   
  • Experience in knits, wovens, performance fabrics. 
  • Ability to work independently, make suggestions on fit, grading, fabric, trims for optimal performance expectations. 
  • Experience is setting QA guidelines for production. 
  • Reading/approving garment testing, 3rd party inspections and TOP approvals. 
  • Pattern making and 3D experience. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems.   
  • The Sr Movement TD should have knowledge of workout needs, sports needs and addressing customer satisfaction in those areas.
