Role Summary

As the Art Director at Nuuly Studio, you will be responsible for working with the Sr. Art Director to conceptualize, plan, and execute visually creative and dynamic product photography that aligns with the brand's aesthetic and vision. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of photography techniques and fashion trends. This role reports into the Sr. Art Director.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a clear creative vision for all product photography projects, ensuring alignment with the Nuuly aesthetic.
  • Provide on-set direction and make selects in real time to ensure the successful execution of the creative vision.
  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results without compromising on creativity.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and conceptualize ideas for direct product photography and other visual content.
  • Provide direction and guidance to photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists and other team members to ensure the successful execution of creative concepts.
  • Review and approve all final images to ensure that they meet the brand's standards for quality, composition, and style.
  • Provide feedback and direction to photographers and retouchers to achieve the desired look and feel for each project.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in photography and visual storytelling, and incorporate new ideas into your work.
  • Lead, inspire, and effectively communicate with a team of freelance photographers, stylists, glam artists and other creative professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Encourage creativity and innovation within the team, pushing boundaries to achieve outstanding results.
  • Provide creative support to Sr Art director across various projects and responsibilities

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience as a photo art director in an ecommerce fashion environment
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative vision, artistic talent, and proficiency in art direction
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Capture One and other relevant so􀀁ware tools.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in photography, fashion, and visual storytelling.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Passion for the Nuuly brand and a deep appreciation for fashion, design, and creativity.
