Role Summary

Nuuly is looking for an Engineering intern to join their team this Summer! Nuuly is the newest sibling to Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and Free People, and focuses on circular fashion by offering a subscription rental experience for women’s apparel and a Thrift ecommerce platform. As a rapidly growing brand, Nuuly is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Engineering Intern to join us for the summer. This role will provide the opportunity to work closely with front-end and backend engineers, gaining hands-on experience with real-world projects and cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/x through 8/x at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.  

 

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

    

1. Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills.  If there is a project component in the application (see below within role qualifications), it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.  This is due at the time of your application submission.

  

2. Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.   

  

3. Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.    

  

Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in developing applications, including writing tests, implementing application logic, and configuring deployments.
  • Collaborate with engineers to learn and use JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin/JVM, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), SQL, or Kafka.
  • Participate in code reviews and shadow senior engineers to gain insight into system design, architecture, and implementation strategies.
  • Contribute to team meetings, providing feedback and ideas to help improve the user experience and operational efficiency of Nuuly’s platforms.

Role Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of web development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and cloud computing fundamentals.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools, with a passion for coding and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Exposure to version control systems such as Git is a plus.
  • Prior internship or project experience in software development is preferred but not required.
