Role Summary

The Freight Payments Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Company’s Finance and Supply Chain Operational teams. This role will support the Global Supply Chain Transportation teams’ efforts by providing carrier payment support and monitoring. The role also supports the monthly financial close process of all transportation related areas. The Payment Analyst will develop and maintain working relationships with members of the Brand Operational and Finance teams, as well as all Supply Chain, Corporate and other Shared Service teams throughout the organization.

 

Ideal candidates must be able to work in a high-demand environment, work independently to meet deadlines and complete various projects/tasks as assigned.  This individual is expected to be a self-starter, resourceful and process-improvement oriented.

Role Responsibilities

  • Invoice coding, payment processing and carrier aging management.
  • Administration and systematic maintenance of carrier accounts.
  • Support of the monthly financial close process and related duties as assigned.
  • Maintenance, creation and distribution of financial reporting and analyses generated by the Company’s freight audit and payment system, and various other carrier databases.
  • Support and maintain Supply Chain Finance processes and internal controls creating SOP’s as applicable.
  • Partner with Transportation Operations on various projects/initiatives as required.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by Supply Chain, Brand and Corporate Finance teams.

Role Qualifications

  • 3+ years bookkeeping, office management or Accounts Payable experience preferred.
  • Associates Degree 
  • Knowledge and familiarity with distribution, transportation, and manufacturing operations a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal) with ability to communicate effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on balancing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively interpret and process large amounts of data in Excel on a daily basis.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
